came back from a long break(noob)
do i have to create a new hero to play in the new update or can i use my old hero

If you are joining the Legion league you will need to create a new character however, if you'd like to continue playing your previously created characters you should be able to do so on either the permanent Standard or Hardcore leagues (depending which your character was created for).
