question about selling currency

I read the documentation but I must be doing something wrong.

I want to buy divine orbs for 35c, which comes out to 0.0286 divine orbs per chaos.

I set my currency stash tab to public, then set my chaos orbs to exact price of 0.0286 divine orbs.

Unfortunately, it rounds it up to .5.

So it says that I'm paying 1 chaos per .5 divine instead of 35 chaos per 1 divine.

I tried doing negotiable price, but had the same problem.

What am I doing wrong?

You dont buy or trade like this. If you want to buy for example an divine orb in standard league you have to contact a seller via ingame wisper.

Click on contact seller and it will open a new field

Example:

@MyFriendHopeIsAPrison Hi, I'd like to buy your 1 divine for my 35 chaos in Standard.

If you have the poe-trademacro, you can use alt+r to generate a fitting note for the sale.

So set the price for chaos to a note of
~price 1/35 divine

Or, as dober said, buy them.

lmao what you're doing wrong is that you're NOT buying you're selling.

if you're buying, you contact the seller not the other way around

Yes, I know that is one way, what I'm trying to do is be the one you contact on that list for people to contact if they have divines and want chaos.

Sorry that it wasn't clear, I want to be listed and people contact me to buy my chaos for 35 in exchange for their 1 divine. Not sure how what I wrote was so far off everyone thought I was looking to buy from others instead of being listed and others contact me.

Yes, I know I can contact people and buy by messaging them, but sometimes people are charging extremely high rates for divines, so listing my chaos in exchange for divines is an alternative way to buy divines, which is why i said 'buying'.

So my original question still stands, what am I doing wrong? I'm trying to get my chaos listed at 35 chaos per 1 divine, but it rounds my fraction up to .5.

You're not using the right notation, as decimals will be rounded, fractions will not.

Thank you so much, i appreciate it. I missed where you said it the first time, thank you for repeating it so I got it.

I usually buy them for 35 or less, but sometimes they'll be listed as high as 48, which is ridiculous. especially when I want to buy 20.
