The nets were a mechanic in the Bestiary league, but it wasn't popular with players. So when Einhar was added to the base game, GGG changed the mechanic to practically "kill the beast" instead of "reduce the beast's life and then throw the net in time".
This means that beastcrafting isn't very plannable at the moment - you have to wait until Einhar spawns in an area, and you have no control over which beasts spawn and get captured. So if you're looking for a specific beastcrafting recipe, you'd have to farm an area where the respective beasts appear, and then hope that Einhar spawns. Once you've reached maps, you'll have at least one map per day where Einhar is guaranteed to spawn, so at least then you can fill your menagerie somewhat reliably, if slowly.
