i like the lootfilter from the known PoE player called "Neversink", he has his own website where you can even further finetune his preset lootfilters just google; neversink filterblade.

probably the most popular lootfilter out there, can't say if its in general the "best", because thats really subjective. But it sure has all the customisation to make it the best for any kind of loot preferences.

My own personal loot filter. I'm not a fan of all the crazy colors/borders/etc in many filters, and I was a programmer so making my own was really simple.

I prefer Neversink's loot filter. It's already pretty good by itself, but you can also customize it on its website and easily download your personal, customized version. You can also save it to the site and manage several different versions.

Once you're comfortable with using a loot filter, you will usually want to customize it, e.g. to include certain crafting bases or specific gear for your build. Making this process easy is probably the biggest advantage of Neversink's filter.

I just go to filterblade.xyz and customize my own based off of Neversink. I have custom sound effects for basically every item and love it. 99% of the filters I see out there lump a bunch of one type of currency into the same category, I personally like to know exactly what it is that dropped so I split all mine into different ones. What's nice about it is that every league I just load up my saved filter and it gets updated to the current base version and then I just save it again and off I go! :)

Customized neversink from filterblade is the only real answer. :cozytf2mug:

Ended up doing this. Most of the filters look like the easter bunny threw up on the screen, so took the time and also made one.

I had questions about this as well. So, Thank you all for the info on filterblade.xyz/ and Neversink. It makes game play and loot so much better.

Neversink is basically like the unofficial default lootfilter. As far as i know even console version have it by default

Neversink. Never felt the need to use another since I was recommended this one. Also, no customization. I just get the default semi-strict/strict/very strict levels and I'm set.

I am running POE on Linux Mint 20. When I click on show folder in Options, nothing happens so I will have to put the filter in the folder manually. What directory do I put the loot filters?

If you don't edit filters, I'd suggest to subscribe to a filter via the website (sign in with steam when asked for login)[www.pathofexile.com], then those get updated automatically (so no need for a cron-job to sync with github or whatever) and you don't need to worry about where to put it.

Otherwise, as it's the same directory as the production_Config.ini, you should be able to just find[man7.org] that.
