Not for you.
I've bought several supporter packs and have no plans to stop doing so.
The game is amazing, and for each 50hrs I get out of it, I'll gladly pay 30 bucks.
Stop fn whining if you can't afford it.
Let's be fair here you don't know if they could cut the cost in half and still make a profit, and imo the prices are fine when I bought tabs I waited for a sale so I got most out of my money, the difference between me and a lot of people is I don't care how my character looks so I have no need for shiny wings or a burning lion.
Then I realized that most MTX sets look like ♥♥♥♥ anyway. Without them you look like a hobo and with them you look like a crazy person with far too much flashy lights on your clothes. The few I do like usually are part of a supporter pack; so if I buy those I can also get some stash tabs or vanishing dye. Now, I'm mostly okay with it and it's really my own "fault" for having missed a few great supporter packs; I don't really think it's bad they reward people sticking with the game throughout the years in a visual way.
Still even with prices as high as they are, I spent ~200 bucks and have around 1000hrs of playtime; so all in all I'm quite content.
Is this your 1st day on the planet ?
What product in existance doesnt have a high end counterpart to a low end entry point ?
Cars, houses, clothes.............. computers ect ect
Just like all those things you see everyday in your life you arent meant to own everything, not everything is meant for you.
Stay in your lane and others will stay in thiers, dont complain when some1 else can afford more than you............. the world and or life isnt fair, if you can type you should have been aware of this simple fact long before you decided to cry a river over the way things will be everyday the rest of yout life.
When the term microtransaction was coined, the idea was that these would be transactions on the order of a few cents, even fractions of a cent, but that combined at a large enough scale to fund significant projects. But that "micro" part never really survived the term's application to videogames, and now exists as essentially 100% marketing nonsense.
None of which is to complain about GGG's pricing - the game's free, cosmetics are optional, if people don't think they're worth the price they can just not buy them. But yeah, it's a dumb term. :)
oh look the 2. thread in a couple days about "dont want to buy MTX but I am a pro in f2p selling strategies"
At least they didn’t charge $15 for a class like Diablo 3 did.
:edit
Of course you don't see them go ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in star citizen or shroud of the avatar about virtual ships or virtual lands that doesn't even exist, but still are being sold for 'good' price.
It makes sure people really think hard before clicking the purchase button to buy some vanity item, instead of fishing all those impulse buyers, that spend more money by itchy fingers than they actually intended to do in the first place.
I feel this is a much more honest way of MTX, compared to low price schemes and/or selling non-cosmetics.
You don't have to agree on my opinions, but it would be nice if you could considr those arguments before calling someone a "blind fanboy".
In all reality I've played since day one (not much mind you because of my job and school) and never spent a dime; however I think I'll toss in a tenner or more for some tabs and such, because the devs truly DO Deserve the money here....
