Can Red Skill Gems support Elementalist skills?
I have a "Damage on Full Life support" Gem equipped. Was wondering if my elementalist Witch can use it? It looks pretty cool - 30% damage on full health which my witch (LOL) usually has as she range sniped mobs without usually takin' a hit!

Only on Attack skills:
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Attack

e.g. Lightning Strike (Projectile, Attack, Melee, Lightning)
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Lightning_Strike

"Supports attack skills, providing a bonus to all damage dealt by those skills while your life is full."

thanks. I read that but still confused. Are these skills unaffected by This gem (Damage on Full Life support) : Any Lightning Skills like Arc or Storm Burst?

The keyword is "attack".

Arc is a spell, just as well as Storm Burst.

Spells and attacks are completely separate mechanics in PoE. A skill that's a spell is not an attack and vice versa.

The gem only works on skills that are considered attacks.

Notice that Damage on Full LIfe Support has the tags "Attack" and "Support" at the top.
This means it only supports active skills that also have the tag "Attack" in them.
You can figure out whether or not any gem will support something just by checking the tags and making sure they match.

Well technically it works on elemental attack skills, just not spells. And an elementalist isn't restricted to spells, you can use elemental attacks like wild strike, molten strike, lightning strike, frost blades etc. just fine.
The game has a very wide range of skills. Physical, elemental and chaos damage type each have at least 2 or 3 attack and spell variant.

this is the boilerplate answer but once you get these basics figured out, the system is actually a little more confusing with hidden tags.

basically if a skill has a threshold jewel that changes the characteristics of the skill it can tack on additional hidden tags that supports can use.
