I'm a noob how do i get red gems or orbs

I'm a noob how do i get red gems i have heaps of blue and green gems but i need red ones to get further in game.. need red gems for wands and sword. any help will be greatly accepted

Npc vendor's in town have some red gem's available to you later on in the story an npc will sell you every gem even those that aren't available to your class or you can always just go to poe.trade and search the gem you need

Thanks SOZAR how do i find POE Trade as i said i'm a noob, i'm almost completed ACT 2 and have not seen a red gem. plenty of green and blue..this kind of game play is totaly new to me

Google is your friend where it comes to Path of Exile. Expect to spend a few days on the wiki for each build you try :)

I'm up to Act 2 and I haven't seen any vendors with red gems, only 3 available in the first town.

if you are like a witch you wont have access to many of them until you do the library quest in act 3.

Act 3 in the library that connects to the imperial gardens, act 6 has a vendor that sells all the gems, and there will also be one in the prologue.
