10-15 fps on gtx 1070
I will first start off by saying it is not my connection. Please don't even suggest this. Every game I own I can run on ultra, but poe on any setting runs like♥♥♥♥♥and I have no idea. Multithreading on or off dosnt change anything. Changing pre rendered frames didnt fix a thing. Even in my HO i get like 40fps.

Your CPU is probably choking the game.

Went to highguard started at the portal and ran in a circle around the area
this game will run like hell if there is an issue with your internet or server, either your computer has an issue or your internet does, figure out which is most likely.

Path of Exile is a very unoptimized game, especially its particle effects that may put a big strain on your processor under certain conditions.

I have an i7 6700k I work in IT yet this game has bested me.

You have something set wrong somewhere. Try running geforce experience optimizations and see if it doesn't change something you are unaware of.

I have a 970 and get avg of 150 fps depending on whats going on in game.

Processor maybe, I have a 6 core I7 at 3.3ghz not OC.

That being said my old gaming laptop with dual 570m's ran this game flawlessly.

when you are in the h/o. unequip and disable everything and look if this change something.

a friend and me had it one time that either his MTX causes FPS probs on my side or that my purity of ice aura causes massive FPS probs on his side.

sometimes PoE is just weired.

Why would anyone claim it's your connection? unless you are misdiagnosing stuttering.

this isn't about the optomization of the game...i have worse stuff in my PC and get better performance that the OP.

OP would need to post a dxdiag and a screenshot of his settings, also a screen shot of his GFX controler programs setting for the game.

simple, when you have a bad connection in this game, almost everything locks up till the connection is better so the game feels like its stuttering bad even if it technically isnt.

Laptop GTX 1060 here - runs fine..

THe 4 core CPU however runs damn hot, I have had to scale down some of the graphics to get it under 70 degrees.

thats not going to do much for the cpu, lower the max frame rate if thats possible either in drver or in the games settings, that will take the load off the cpu.

granted the cpu and gpu cooling is likely linked, so lowering graphics will also likely help.
