Quick question concerning aura - double application
So I've read the wiki's page about aura and I understand the mechanic. It does leave me with one question :
What happen when two (or more) players apply the same aura? Does it stack or does only the strongest one apply?

Thanks for the answer. The I beleive it would be more accurate to say the one with the stronger effect since increased effect of non-curse aura can make a slightly lower level curse stronger then a higher level one.

This means that if characters are following an aurabot, there's (nearly) no point in having auras themselves.

Good to know, working on an aurabot build including curse auras... might need players to pick one of them themselves though

keep in mind the monster curse limit is global not per person. if you are cursing the hell out of everything the people you are running with should not run any curses themselves.

obviously they should not, that's my job (plus I got all those passive that further increase the effect ... and I'm not talking about #increase non-curse aura effect ... I'm talking about #increase curse effect)

this build got a max 4 curse limit (2 from passives, 1 from item, 1 base), but I do appreciate the input as it clarify for other readers in the future (assuming they bother to look), all of wich get level 22 blasphemy from heretic's veil (with an added 12% reduced mana reserved, yeah!)

still got to see it at the late level in action so I can say for certain if I'll need to drop a couple auras because of it or not (running @ -38% mana reserved reduction from passive, -2% from jewel, some extra 3 @ -25% (-65% total) from Prism Shield, curses @ -12% (-52% total) and all of it with Mortal Conviction)

... clarity will probably be the first to go (or not, depends on the team, I'll get all of the auras on call to switch as needed) ;)

edit : only downside is I found out that there is exactly 3 unique creatures (/boss) that are curse immune... meaning that even my hexproof bypass from Cospri's Will will then be irrelevant (2 of those are very low level, one of those is a real concern)

On a semi-related note - If you are doing Elreon's daily and the totem gives you an aura you have up, they do stack. Or at least I know the hatred, ES, and haste auras do, never tried the rest lol.

Only time I'm aware of auras actually stacking though.

According to the wiki, hexproof both from monster modifier and map modifier can be bypassed by Cospri's Will :
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Hexproof
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Cospri%27s_Will

I was refering to curse immunity wich is absolute.

Curse immunity is a modifier several unique monsters have. Unlike hexproof, curse immunity is absolute and cannot be bypassed.

According to the wiki, there are thankfully only 3 monsters with that modifier :
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Archbishop_Geofri_the_Abashed
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Bameth,_Shifting_Darkness
https://pathofexile.gamepedia.com/Plaza_Map

But, I was mistaken when I said that 2 out of 3 where low level. It's true for Archbishop (Crypt Level 2), but Bameth being a Beyond demon can spawn in a variety of zones (starting at level 33).

As for the Goddess (Plaza Map), that's probably the main concern in term of curses (map tier 13). For that fight I may consider switching gear to focus more on aura and defense, depending on the difficulty of her skeleton guardian vs the boss itself.

curses barely do anything on bosses anyway due to their effectiveness reduction
