dual wield or shielded templar

i have a insanly overpowered mace that i somehow got but i cant firgure out weather i should have another off hand weapon bc i have some goods ones or just use a shield

Assuming its a attack mace, I would say use a shield.
Most attacks will alternate between attacking with main hand and off hand. If you have one good weapon and the other subpar, you probably don't want the alternating attacks between the 2 weapons.

But this is not always true and more details on your build, attacks, and mace would be needed to help you further.

at these levels it is really not going to matter
