also stacking the same effect wont work. so taking MoM node while wearing claok of defiance is a wasted skill point.
moreover how you want achieve 9 power charges? 3 base + 3 from tree + 1 from aylardex. maybe with storm prison or void battery, but the first one is not really strong, the 2. more or less expensive. also 10 charges is just possible as occultist. and going occultist makes half of ur idea pointless due depending on hierophant stuff
i dunno, just used some basic tree in PoB as reference. Click[pastebin.com] where i just used your theories from above, reduce mana costs, mana, life. no dmg at all.
i end up with 6,6k life, 3,1k ES and 6,2k mana, with perfect mana and life stats possible and a kaoms heart (which u cant use because not having a 6L then) and ending with a lvl 73 tree without dmg. so easy is something different for me :D
when dropping the reduce mana costs nodes I end up with this[pastebin.com] and 6,5k life and 5,9k mana.
surely u can use items like pledge but then your max power charge count drops to 7
even so the idea sounds kinda interesting, I dont see how it should be good to invest so extrem in the defense without any offence.
also you dont really need 10-14k life imo
almost forgot:
keep in mind that u get the 18% mana before the damage on the mana is calculated, so it stark working on the 2. hit
Great point! I edited the post to show 7 maximum charges. (1 from either of the unique wands that add it, 1 from amulet, 2 from passives, 3 base)
I'm aware of that particular point. The cloak would just be for the extra 10%. Taking MoM on the tree is kindof necessary because the mana nodes that are behind it are just too good to pass up for this build. I'm not planning on using the cloak though.
In theory, just 4.5k life and 4k mana (8.5k EHP), with the extra energy shield (further increasing the EHP by well over a thousand) and Eldritch Battery, would be wonderfully tanky. This goal allows more room for points in offense and less of a need for perfect gear.

Yeah, but it's extra regen based on how much damage you've taken, so aside from getting 1 shotted, it's another way of essentially mitigating damage taken. It just works well in conjunction with high % "damage taken from mana before life"
You'll gain the mana back over 4 seconds following the hit.
