only got one from a chest so far
I've neglected updating my loot filter for 3.0, but it still recognized the item as being worth picking up. I don't remember what it looked like or what sound it used, but I noticed it immediately when it dropped.
There's a ton of values you can tweek and there's a page where you can simulate loot drops to see how things will look like with your filter settings. I find it really useful when looking for items for the chance orb recipe. You can also just pick up the base neversink filter there, which is great. Chromes and six sockets are highlighted for every level of item, so you don't miss them.
