Vsync 144hz Monitor
Hi all,

Why isnt POE capping my fps at 144fps if i enable VSYNC anymore (since 3.0)?
Frames are about 200 all the time...
Anyone else with this problem?

Cheers

try alt+enter twice and recheck the vsync(turn off, save and then on again)

Hi, thx for the tip!

Sadly it does nothing :(
Its very strange cause before 3.0 it works flawlessly...
Reinstalled the game etc...nothing caps my fps at 144 except 3rdpartyprogramms
like msi afterburner etc...:(

Is your monitor a free-sync or g-sync monitor? since the 3.0 update, G-sync hasnt worked for some reason [not sure if its because of the adaptive resolution] and ive had to use the built in v sync option with g sync disabled.

i got the same problem with my 144Hz Monitor and even if i cap my fps at 72 with MSI Afterburner, i hit sometimes 77fps instead 72fps... something wrong with POE 3.0

I dont use G-Sync or Freesync.

Win7 64bit and nvidia 1080 with newest Drivers.

Hi all and thx for the comments!

I use an 144hz Gsyncmonitor, even when i disable Gsync and force Vsync for example in the NvidiaControlpannel the frames are way over 180 etc...ONLY in POE :(. I dont know whats going on here...but its very strange...and the stuttering etc while playing is very annoying :(. Cause i dont want to run afterburner all the time...
Maybe someone from GGG is watching this?. I already send a ticket to GGG...I hope they can help me/us...When i have a solution i let you know...BTW sry for my bad english...not a nativespeaker here...

My Setup in short = Win 10 64/16 GB RAM/3570k/500 GB SSD/980 Strix 4 GB.

Do you get tearing? I have vsync disabled and its fine with my 144 fps screen...
SabraCadabra Aug 12, 2017 @ 12:06pm
hi!

yes sometimes...you cap your frames to 144fps with afterburner for example or do you "let the fps fly"?
Phobos Aug 12, 2017 @ 12:11pm
I have the 1070 gtx g1 and LG 24GM77 24-Inch 144Hz. I never set vsync on unless I get tearing; poe seems fine letting it running at whatever it can. I checked today and it was around the 200fps mark, but varying.

Hmm ok...as it seems im not the only one with that problem...i would say something is definetly wrong with "ingame Vsync" for sure...i really hope ggg can do something about it. thx for checking it out!.

I fully get what youre saying! The little tearing isnt my mainproblem. My problem is why Vsync isnt capping the frames to the hz of the monitor anymore. When you take a closer look at the poegggforum you will find some people with the exact same problem.

Its a poe thing then and you would have to go 3rd party :(

Have you tried EVGA Precision X ?

:edit
There is also RivaTuner Statistic Server or Nvidia Inspector

As i told you guys already, not even Riva Tuner/Afterburner is capping the FPS at the right frametarget now.

With 2.6 there was no problem, only after 3.0 there is a issue.
