When SRS fades away it count as death, right?
If this is right, is Beacon of Corruption good for srs builds?

A minion destroyed by the Minion Instability keystone will still leave behind a caustic cloud.

Minions which reach the end of their duration will create a caustic cloud. This includes Summon Raging Spirit and Summon Skeletons.

Haven't benchmarked it myself though.

it works, yeah.

is it good? no!

one reason, the life of SRS is just so small, that either beacon of corruption cloud or minion instability is worth it for its damage.

you take beacon of corruption anyway as uberlab most likely, but for its chaos res.

Thanks for the info.

I've seen people do math-fu on minion instability and they claim it just doesn't make sense. With the regen, block or leech you get in the average minion build you're likely to get more damage from minion attacks before they get last-hitted than you are from detonating them at 30 % hp - especially since often a single large AoE hit will bring them that low but after that they'd heal back up again if it wasn't for that pesky keystone.

Maybe the dynamic changes with beacon of corruption (30 % corpse explosion damage + AoE cloud might do more damage than just the explosion does), but I can't really see it.

Might need testan. ^^

It works... but it's nothing to praise.

Yeah, sure. What I was thinking is that if they do certain ammount of damage on death, and it is chaos, it's not so bad, since summoning past 20 spirits is pretty ez. But elpadre is right, we take Beacon for the chaos resis.
