What to buy first?

I just added 250 points for the first time, is there anything that i should/must buy first?

The only thing that's going to actually have an impact on your game play will be Stash tabs.

There's the basic ones, which are the same as the ones they give you for free. There's the premium ones, which you can give unique names to and an unique colors to.

And there's the special ones: Currency, Essences, Divination Cards. The bundle that includes those three also comes with one of the new Quad tabs.

The only useful stuff is currency stash. U will appreciate that after few more weeks of game.

Bases on events. But I've seen that ALL stashes come in bundle. Only currency stash and additional inventory stash

Currency tab should absolutely be your first pickup, it's game-changing. You will clear up a ton of stash space. The next thing you should get would be a premium tab, as it allows you to take part in the third-party trading utilities like poe.trade. A divination tab would be next, since div cards can take up a lot of space, but it's nowhere near as helpful as a currency tab or a premium tab. Essence tabs, IMO, are of limited use since Essences are so rare nowadays.

A quad tab is very nice if you're an alt-aholic or a hoarder.

Beyond that, everything else is either cosmetic, or of limited use. Extra character slots can be nice, but you don't really need them.

Raum, I bought some items from poe.trade already and was asking myself how do I get to sell some too. Does the premium tab has something to do with that?

yup, with a premium tab you can assign it to be "public" and then make a tab wide price so everything you drop in there will be listed as the amount of the tab. You can also simply put it public and price items individually.

If you want another "game changer" in terms of learning a bit how to price items/learn their values, do grab poe trade macro. You'll need to install auto hotkey for it to work. It'll give you in-game search on trade.poe with ctrl-d, in depth item information and stats range with ctrl-c and a bunch of other tools that I personnally don't use as much. You'll have to play in borderless windowed mode too.

PoE TradeMacro is an Autohotkey (AHK) script that provides several convenient QoL features for Path of Exile Trading.

This builds on top of PoE-ItemInfo which provides very useful item information on ctrl+c. With TradeMacro, price checking is added via ctrl+d, ctrl+alt+d or ctrl+i. You can also open the items wiki page via ctrl+w or open the item search on poe.trade instead via ctrl+q.
TradeMacro will be updated to always have the latest PoE-ItemInfo code, you don't have to run their script since it's included here.

Warning

Never completely trust any price checking tool. Inform yourself about what this tool can do and what not (FAQ for example). Use the tools average and median prices to quickly judge if the first results could be accurate or totally wrong. When in doubt ask other people or do some manual checks.

Usage / Instructions

1. Install AHK (http://ahkscript.org)
   
2. Download the latest release[github.com] and extract the zip-file.
   
3. Make sure to run PoE in (borderless) windowed mode. Otherwise it won't work!
   
4. Run Run_Only_This.ahk or (Run_without_Admin_Elevation.ahk if you don't need and want it).
   
5. Default league is set to tmpstandard (Softcore Temp-League).
   
6. A lot of options, including the league can be changed by opening the settings window or editing trade_config.ini.

I've copy pasted pretty much the information you need here so have fun with it!

I agree, Premium Stash and Currency Stash are the real needed and useful things in this game. I also bought them on sale.

If you are not in dire need of them right now, if you still have decent space left, I would wait for them to go on sale. The currency tabs go to 60 points and go to 165 so you could purchase both with the 250 if they are on sale.
