Why is the premium currency for the in game store so expensive?
title, a helmet costs 20+ dollars. A full armor set costs 50+ dollars. (it doesn't do anything, just cosmetic)

There's DLC that costs 500$ rip.. I was tempted to spend a few bucks on some customization/ pet but after seeing the prices i cant reasonably spend that much for something that doesn't do anything..

Well, I will put some 50 Euros if I reach 1000 hours. So far 15 Euros for stash tabs and 1 currency tab was all I needed. I can live without cosmetics.

It was alittle discouraging thinking 20-30 bucks would be more then enough for some cool looking armor/pet but apparently I could only get a helm.. Fortunatly I checked prices before buying any currency but thought it was crazily priced.

I am very new to this game and had no idea that stuff is so expensive. Just saying but di the drops get any better ? I only have 9 hours in so far.

While I honestly agree that ♥♥♥♥ is too expensive in the game which I hate but I managed to spent about $20 I think with that I bought stash tabs and a few things from the classic section as well as some mystery boxes... there's also sales all the time to help out on that part. You could easily buy a support pack then spend the rest of the extra money they give you on cheap items and you won't need to buy things again until you feel the need. All you gotta do is dig deep into the store and find cheap stuff... all the expensive stuff is first always! I guess they gotta make money somehow since the game is 99% free and the other 1% being stash tabs.

My CS GO skins Are worth about 700$ and 100% cosmetic but I like them alot, different strokes for different folks .

They have Daily Deals which give a large discount to a single item everyday. If you are worrying a lot about prices, you can opt for notifications on which item is on sale. Patience!

In addition, premium currency is the only way GGG makes money. It's a free game.

They even have Mystery Boxes for sale constantly. For $3 you can get cosmetics worth $20+. Buying a few will result in a large profit.

There are weapon effects as cheap as $3. There are armor effects as cheap as $4.

There are no DLCs for this game. Absolutely no actual game content is sold in the store.

There are supporter packs that give you cosmetics, and forum badges and points to spend that have a wide variety of prices. I bought one for $25.

Therefore, your post highlighting the most expensive possible things you could buy, while completely ignoring the cheapest things, and the dozens of things priced in betweeen, is a very dishonest attempt at calling the store expensive.

If premium items gave you actual combat bonuses I never would have installed. If one in 20 people buy a $60 cosmetic they're paying for others to play the game. So thank you rich people for supporting the devs on our behalf :D
Having said that the currency tab was definitely a good purchase. Also bought the Divination and Essence tabs which aren't quite as neccessary for the amount of time I've played, but I can see them being a great help in the future

Dont think that a free to play games you can get free or the item were sold at cheappy price. They also need money to run the games and company. Its just a cosmetic, for you to look cool. its same as csgo, the cool skin were need alot of money but even the pro player in csgo does not have expensive skin, WHY? because they just think play for fun n enjoy the games.

Others game also free to play but their store were sold an item that can buff ur stat of ur char, so how free tht game was....

PoE is a kind game i think(even the unstable optimization/buggy rn), they have an item at DISCOUNT PRICE for weekend i think, so be patient and wait yr fav cool stuff got discount and buy it.

Dont said you hate the game just bcoz its f2p game but the cosmetic were expensive as hell. TRY to understand the game, the concept, the dev and company and how they used our money to improve the game... for example they make new cosmetic xD or a new event, league, race etc...

Have a nice day and Happy gaming

Because they don't go the pay to win route, so since they are not forcing players to but p2w ♥♥♥♥ and only offering cosmetics that you don't need they need to price it higher to compensate

i dont think so.. dont get me wrong, i bought multiple 50€ skin packs and lots of other things but i think they would get more money with a little lower prices. lower prices = more people buy things. poe got up to 46000 player peak only on steam last month. i think this is very good for a ftp game like this and they make a lot of money
