Hatred Aura

Is there anything that's good for supporting the Hatred Aura? Still kinda noobed at time with these linked skills.

It's important to be carefull with what you link to your aura. Something like Faster Casting will do nothing useful for a Hatred Aura but it will increase the mana reservation cost because it actually does speed up the time to turn it on/off.

Make sure if you are dropping an aura gem into a spare socket of a fully linked piece of gear that whatever other supports you have in that item are not increasing the reservation cost.

You can quickly see if this is case by noting if there are any letters in the upper right corner or along the right edge of the icon for the aura on your hotbar. Those letters, if they are there, indicate that a support gem is affecting that particular skill on your hotbar.

But if you cast it once and leave it on, how does is save reserve?

It has a mana multiplier, so it will multiply the mana reserve, which is consistent with other support gems that apply.

EDIT: THIS DOES NOT MEAN IT SAVES RESERVE, IT INCREASES IT!

Ah ok.... Yeah, I'm still confused with the multipliers.

Actually just tested it. Faster casting does not affect Hatred's reserve.

The you probably didn't support the aura (the hatred gem) with it and didn't get the faster cast speed either.

Just to avoid confusion, we're talking about the "Faster Casting Support" gem. Not some other faster casting modifiers.

The you probably didn't support the aura with it and didn't get the faster cast speed either.

Yes, I tried the "FCS" gem and it didn't do anything.

With 300 hours in the game, I think I know when I have 2 gems in an item.... and the sockets are linked.

No, sir.. Just Hatred and Ash running. Both in different items.
