thats my two cents.
Seriously the most you really need is a few stash tabs which cost 10-15$.
That and since the game dose not fall back on the main stay of "free" games...i.e. freemium trash it needs to price it near total cosmetic only MTX higher
Thats right. I would buy two armor sets for $15 each or perhaps even more armor sets in a longer time period. I probably spent more than $100 to War Thunder, but not all of it at once. Now i wont be buying anything cosmetic from PoE. Perhaps stashes, if i continue playing it.
One - they're completely optional items and the only way for GGG to receive any money at all. Traditionally, people either buy cosmetic items or they don't, regardless of how cheap or expensive they are.
This means that there is less of an advantage in making cosmetics cheaper than there would be in something like stash tabs, which has a very clear use.
The fact that they're cosmetic only also means there's less backlash for a higher price - after all, you're not gimped if you don't buy that skin, so you don't really lose out.
Two - one of the big draws of having cosmetics is showing them off to people who don't. This perk immediately loses in value if you introduce very cheap skins (think of it like the legendary skins in other games, buying one shows you really care or have a bunch of disposable income :P).
This is the same effect as buying a really fancy racecar in a country that doesn't allow no speed limits, a rare painting or that diamond encrusted Rolex that doesn't tell the time significantly better than the dollar store version - just showing that you can afford items of that nature has value.
The point wasnt really about me whining about prices, jackass. I am just saying that the more people would be able to buy them if cosmetic items reduced to more reasonable prices (me included). I spent way more money on another games. As long as i get reasonable stuff for the price i am paying, its fine. So you would be fine if they want 100 dollars for a cosmetic item?
