Baleful Gem help

I cleared out the whole Chamber of Sins level 2 area, looked everywhere on the floor for some baleful gem, couldn't find it, Im starting to think my game is bugged.

there is no bug, the baleful gem is in some torture device near the boss (fidelitas), you need to click on the device and it will drop the gem.

Yeah, I go to the strange device and I cant click it, and I searched that area multiple times and it wasn't there. I just went back to the waypoint and sat afk, then the whole area resetted for me then I went back and actually got it, so yeah, I think my game did bug out

Were you in a party? Were you there when Fidelitas died? I'd imagine if you were not there when Fidelitas died, you might not have had the quest state to loot the gem.

You have to talk to the Blackguard chick after killing the lightning guy before you can click it. Also, on the second floor the area where they are can sometimes be kinda hidden on the map where you can walk past a pile of rubble to get to them, the map will show a dead end even though you can move through it.

Also, she's not even a blackguard chick. She was brought there along with the others by piety, if she was a blackguard chick she'd be zapping Fidelis with lightning arc constantly. :P Which is the only thing blackguard mages do.

Piety failed to bring the right tools for the job against Fidelis, which is why you had to kill him. That and he was wearing Plot Armor.

After the lady who's over the edge tells you, "Help, that thing, he slaughtered everyone!" and you kill Fidelis, you get the quest message to check the device to gain the baleful gem.
