It seems you can't log in without being seen by people on your friends list? Even people NOT on my friends list know I'm playing and message me. I guess I must be on thiers?

Sometimes I would like to log in and play alone without being bothered. is there a way for my status to appear "offline" to everyone while I continue to play "online"?

Alt account , trade yourself some stuff and chill because no one know who you are, you can also use stuff like DND

Can you tell me how I can do that? I already considered that, but everytime I start the client It only gives me the option to log in using Steam. Thanks

Either get a second steam account and use that or just use the standalone client, where you can change the login easily as well.
