Trade channel? How it works?

So I never used it...never, but I would like to know the "Player prices" for orbs...like Orb of Fusing , Jeweller's orb etc, since a player told me not to trade them with the Npc vendors because he said that's a waste...can anyone help a fellow Exile?

Never use the trade channel.

General trading: poe.trade (make sure you choose the right league)
Currency: currency.poe.trade (to convert currency)
To check currency conversion ratios to Chaos (for example, Fusings to Chaos ratio), poe.ninja

And as your friend said, never vendor crafting mats. Crafting mats are this game's currency.
