Long loading screens
When I load up the game getting into the main menu takes about a second, but then loading into characters or new locations, like "Lioneye's Watch" either doesnt load or takes ridiculously long. I cant tell i only let it load for about 10 minutes before trying to restart it and had the same issue. New to this game so sorry if this is already posted and I didn't see it, but is there a fix for this or can I just not play? This is scratching an ARPG itch I havent had scratched in a long time!

What are your system specs? I'm a little lost on your problem, but I think you should start there. Also, under your options menu, is multi-threading set to off and directx set to 9 or 11?

I run windows 10x64, i7 2.4GHz, 24 GB RAM, SLI GTX 765M and a 1TB HDD. Im running more than minimum. I tried running it in compatability mode. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling too and testing integrity. I tried running with directx 9 and 11 and with multithreading both enabled and disabled and no matter what I still get the same issue. The game is reported as "running" in task manager and I can still move my mouse around but I can't enter the next area at all. i can make a new character and the beach loads just fine, but when I try to advance i am stuck in the loading screen.

Try adding "--nopreload" to the games launch option. This will increase loading screen time, but sounds like your game is just not loading at all.

My guess would be that your HDD is extraordinarily slow, because PoE takes forever to load on everything but an SSD.
Download CrystalDiskMark[crystalmark.info] and post an image of the results.

Untrue, using a standard HDD, initial load into the game takes like 30 seconds (and that only because i'm forcing it to load more before the login screen with --waitforpreload)
Without it, you are looking a few seconds to get into the game and maybe about 10 max between areas.

Maybe they've changed something since I put it on an SSD, but back when I started playing it would easily take ~5 minutes on startup, and ~1 minute between each zone. This was on a 7200 rpm HDD.

Yes, they did make changes in regard to startup time. The game loads assets much more quickly than previous years.

"--waitforpreload" seems to have fixed my issue, now everything is taking max 30 seconds! Thanks a ton!
