In my opinion best fishing game out there at the moment.

Huge map, lots of spots you can hang out and fish in.
More maps in form of dlc (Not a negative in my books, they are great. Wish there were endlessly more.)
The first free vanilla map is easily worth the game's price tag and offers over 30 to +100 hours in fun time and more.

Lots of ways to fish. (Bait, Lure, Jig, Bottom).
Now it only needs a ice fishing and a snowy map. (Finland pilkki dlc please?)

Cross-platform multiplayer lobbies are a huge plus, kinda to the point that offline doesn't feel worth it after online, even if you don't interact with other players online, the online is still a great anti-depressant and makes the world feel alive.

Connection problems?
I have seen connection jank, but not to the point of negative review.
Connection problems occur as like people dropping off from the online for 3 minutes and then those same players popping
back in your lobby again.
It does not cancel either of your gaming session, fishing, nor do you see any loading screen etc.
The game goes on even if you are suddenly disconnected from the multiplayer, so no problem there, and the game automatically connects back to online when possible.


Also my one and only gripe with this game is that there isn't any kind of game modes like tournaments or any other kind of timed fishing comptetitions.
Only solo quests in form of challanges, daily challanges and weekly challanges.
Timed competitions would be fun, even if they weren't anything special and went for like 10 to 30 minutes in a single lobby for a random specific fish etc.

Also, easy to play with friends.
