Recommendation for other games like M&M:X?

I loved the min-maxing in M&M X, along with the turn-based combat. What other RPGs feel similar to this one?

Wizardry 8 has the best and most balanced deep character and party building. It is half of the game and enables a wide variety of play styles align with the party choice. It is older, 2001, but compared to it, current rpgs that trivialize and "foolproof" the character and party design are only half-rpgs.

there is a new game called Operencia: The Stolen Sun.

There are also a lot of japanese grid based rpgs with turn based combat, most of them with anime style (e.g. PersonaQ, Etrian Odyssey, Mary Skelter) but not all (Elminage, Stranger in Sword City). However I have not played any of them.

Actually, as mentioned here, Wizardry 8 is realy one of the best (and hard) RPG group party game. But its realy old and if we are speaking about that time you would find many others good simillar games. From current time I would definetely recommend Legend of Grimrock 1 and 2

How exactly is Kingmaker like MMX? While both are RPGs, they are quite different. Especially since one of them is a dungeon crawler. :P

Oh well. Vaporum is also an option, though you don't have a party to begin with. Might as well grab it while it's on sale.

with some emulation you can try etrian odysee games...3ds but perfectly playable on pc

If we will call this Genre First Person-view Party RPG ,different to isometric view RPG like NWN or Sacred and others isometric titles . Then basically ,besides Might and Magic 6 to 9 ,I haven"t played 1 to 5 , the greatest title is Wizardry 8 . It is sold on steam . The graphics in the game pretty okay . Though the game is rather old and I had problem to start it on windows 10 64 bit . Managed to do it by disabling introduction video .
It is great game can be played almost without walktrough . Rather many levels to gain , party memebers level up by expirience fir quets and kills and by using skills ,like in Morrowind .

i agree with all the Wizardry 8 fans. Party can be from one to 6 plus up to 2 RPCs with a wide variety of survival and completion methods depending on what races/professions you choose. It's big enough to have new things to offer if you want to see everything and complete all the quests, yet getting to the end can be much simpler if you just want to prove out a party design and skip much of the intervening material.

WIzardry 8 is fantastic and I have even solo'd and duo'd it on Expert Mode (you can play the game with 1-6 PC's from creation and 0-2 RPC's/NPC's, which is so flexible!). There are people who solo it on the hardest difficulty and on IRON MAN (if you die, it's over, autodeleted saved game). o.0

wizardry 8 is extremely slow, even with mods that speed up enemy movement set to max. free enemy movement was a big mistake.

I recommend Elminage: Original (or Gothic, if you're a masochist). The exploration isn't as good as wiz or m&m but the combat is great, fast and brutal, and it has some cool classes. IE:

summoner class which can permanently enslave monsters to fight for you (until they die or are replaced)
thieves which can steal enemy weapons, including those attached to enemies (ie lamia tails), swarms of flies, magical abilities, etc. at some point my warrior was running around wielding a ghost ship's prow, with skeletons attached to it.

Turn based sci-fi rpg dungeon crawler with random dungeons. It's actually quite good. I should give this another go from scratch and play it through.
