Chapter 8 Finale Bug? [SOLVED SOMEHOW]

I finished the game on normal mode today, but when I entered the Chapter 8 Lobby it showed that I have finished the second of the two final levels, which is locked on an "A"-Grade. I played the 9 normal levels before entering the finale.
As I finished it for the first time it still was an "A". Then, after several tries, I watched an A++ Walkthrough of the Chapter 8 Finale. I got everything in it and my best time is at around 2:40 time left. Am I just too slow or is this really a gamebreaking bug? (I call it gamebreaking, because I can´t finish the solo normal story-mode with everything on an A++ with this problem)

Well the thing with finales is that no matter what you will get the time bonus if you beat the level, so i don't quite know whats going on there, but i can assure you that you've gotten the time bonus.

This, sadly, doesn´t solve my problem with the "A" not overwriting itself to an A++.

There's no time restriction for finale or encore levels, it seems like you can get any time and it'll be an a++. I also had the finale level of chapter 8 opened up and a letter grade (before playing any of chapter 8) while going through co-op the first time.

I didn´t play co-op before getting to chapter 8. And in some finales, I didn´t get an A++ although I had all gems and the yarn ball.

Now we know that the bug is not from different modes. Maybe try getting a++ on all the finales and see what happens.

I have. Only the second level of the chapter 8 finale isn´t marked with an A++.

As long as you get all the gems and yarn, you should get the A++ -- the Finale is not time restricted. Do you have each and every gem and yarn stamp at the end clipboard in a single playthrough?

It doesn´t show me the clipboard at the end. When I finish the level, it just enters the Hatty room and I have to walk onto the SS Friend Ship. The credits aren´t bugged.
