It's not easy to do, playing two at the same time is not easy anyway... I suggested you do some research.

Are you talking about controller + keybored?

That or 2 keyboard. I don't even know how another player can log in.

You need to own another Steam account with the game in-order to do two *keyboards and some programs...

I am pretty sure you just plug the controller in and it connects to the game automatically?
A Xbox 360 contoller that is. The other player does not need to login when you go in-game it will say press "A"? to join then you join.?

You can't have two people logged in simultaneously on one machine, so whichever account you're playing co-op on is the only one that will get the progress/achievements.
As others have mentioned, you will need one keyboard and one controller to do this. Here is a bit more information:

You will not be able to log into two Steam profiles simultaneously.

Ok, Thank you. I thought it would work like that.

There is a way, I have done it. Just have not had the time to get another keyboard.

I highly doubt there is a way, but if there is, then how?

Yeah, I'm pretty skeptical. I could maybe see the slight possibility of technically having two people logged in on one system (Set up a VM, install Steam + game, log in on VM + PC simultaneously, boot game on each setup, play online via "LAN" - Not really LAN, but recognized as such, route one player's input to the VM, run with PC in full screen, and play co-op "locally" with two accounts), but I can't see many people wanting to go through that effort.

So more realistically, if there were some simple way to log in twice on one computer, the game is still not set up to identify multiple profiles. Because (I'm pretty strongly believing this) it isn't possible. Or, at least, not intended, meaning achievements and saves aren't going to work properly anyway.

Lol, I use a VM for TF2 but not other games... There is a simple way look up sandboxie and use it. There are programs to have multiple keyboards working with one computer I have seen it but never used it. Yes saves do work.

So in this context, it looks like Sandboxie functions the same as the method I outlined... I guess, if you wanna go through that... lol
