Cannot join as second player in my singleplayer run
When i go to local game/Normal mode/player setup, i can join, but when i try to join as a second player in my singleplayer run, i can't, and is it me or does this game have the same levels but if you're playing co op they are modified so that teamwork/help from a second player is required? Even if it does it doesn't matter, i cannot join in my singleplayer run as a second player, but i can when i do it from the main menu, but it starts a new game entirely from the ship/boat crash.

Hi Veljko

Single player story mode and co-op (two player) story modes are entirely different as they use different maps tailored to either a single player or two players. That's why you are seeing two different save progress when you go from single to two player modes. This is also why a second player cannot join in the middle of a single player story run. Hope this clarifies things!

Okay, i understand, but why have the option to join as a second player in a singleplayer run when you can't?

I think you may be confusing LOCAL two player co-op with ONLINE two player co-op. If you select Local Game and after selecting The Story mode, when you are in the player select screen that is the point where you either play as one player or two players. If only one player is selected than it will only be a one player game from that point on. If another player joins at the player select screen it will only be a two player co-op session from that point on with maps that are catered for two-player teamwork. This is what we call local, or couch, co-op and it is an option where two people in the same room can play the game together.

Does this help clear things up for you? Let us know if you have any other questions.

Took you long enough to respond.
And yes, i mean Local co op
if you continue off of your singleplayer run, why does it give you a option for a second player to join (in local co op, when your friend is playing with a controller or simply couch co op) when you can't even join?

Are you referring to the Player Set-Up screen in the pause menu after you start a solo story session? That screen is only meant for the player to change their character head or change their weapon load out. Yes, it is a bit confusing in a solo story session because it appears that you can add another player. But since you are playing solo that is why another player cannot be added.

If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask. Thanks for playing!
