Does BattleBlock Theater supports PS3 controller?

I can't use my PS3 controller in BBT so i thought this game does not support my controller, is that right? If it supports so why i can't use it? It tryed out other games and my controller works well. Can somebody help me?

BattleBlock Theater does not have support for the ps3 controller. The controllers we do support as listed on the store page are Microsoft® Xbox 360/Xbox One and Direct Input compatible controllers. You will need a third party controller emulator to get the controller to work with your game. Unfortunately, The Behemoth does not recommend any particular emulators or third-party drivers, as they can cause issues in the game.

Okay thanks but this is kinda wierd that Castle Crashers has PS3 controller support and BBT does not.
