Few Questions
I'm trying to justify spending that absurdly high price for the game but the store page doesn't really promote it well and I don't watch YouTube videos of people playing games nor have I really read much about this to begin with. I was sort of hoping to ask my questions in the worst place possible - the Steam forums. Super spicy.

Edit:
Demo is great!

I've only ever really played Dynasty Warriors 8, and especially loved that game mode where you launched various missions to earn resources and find people in the effort to build a grand palace(?). I don't remember what the name of the mode is called but was wondering if it was also in Origins.

My second question is if you can choose your own path throughout the story. You're a nameless hero, but are you forced onto a single side of the conflict?

Somewhat in line with my first question is if you can play as different characters from time to time, other than in combat as your companion. For example, in the aforementioned gamemode or if there are 'Origin Stories' where you can play mini side battles for backstory on a character that already exists.

Finally, is there a sandbox-esque mode? If the mode from Dynasty Warriors 8 doesn't exist is there at least some replayability that makes the game more fun to play multiple times? If you're not forced onto a single side, there could be additional replayability but what about after the story content?

Thank you for your time and answers! I'd prefer constructive and helpful feedback, but hey.. it's Steam! :D:

2. You pick 1 of the three kingdoms
3. No, just a select few companion that join you in battle, which companion you pick change your starting position in battle.
4. No

All your requested feature most likely come in the spin off Empire series or something
This one is more like action RPG with 1 MC living through and seeing the story of three kingdoms hence the name Origins

Alright, thank you for the quick response!

Sucks there isn't a mode like DW8 but glad you can repeatedly choose battles to play in order to acquire necessary resources. Though, when you think of it that's what you did in the aforementioned mode; you'd continuously farm missions for the rewards.

Also glad to know there are three campaigns in the game instead of being dropped into one.

I didn't think there'd be any control over existing characters or mini stories like that. Just thought I'd ask given the name is 'Origins.' As you play, though, do you unlock more options as a Companion or is it a fixed thing on missions?

I think I could make due with the skirmishes. :)

Thanks again for the reply!
Oh, if you could answer this question:

Does anything carry between stories/campaigns? For example, your levels and anything you unlock or is each campaign a fresh restart?

yes, and after you finish story mode you can start from any timeline of the story you been before so you can ally with other factions
Awesome to hear your development carries between campaigns and whatnot!

Just really expensive. :P

Thanks for the reply!
