Grade 8 Weapons

Does anyone have a guide on how to get them?
I only know to get Halberd, you need to defeat lu bu at hu lao gate in ultimate difficulty

They all (As far as I know) come from completing the challenges on the highest difficulty setting. You can check the rewards in the Story panel at an inn and kinda skim through which rewards there are. May require completing more story paths depending on which weapon you want.

Select a mission and in the lower right corner there's "Challenge". It tells you the challenge and the reward.

I've found a good few of them but I'm still looking for the staff, twin pikes, lance and crescent blade.

Grade 8 "Luan" weapons can be owned after you finishing all their Challenging. There are 10 of them.
And another 10 G8 weapons that no one know how to get them for now. I've just can only found them in database, and successfully drag them out in the game.

- Sword of the Savant Grade 8 Sword
- Flaming Lotus Staff Grade 8 Staff
- Heaven and Earth Circle Grade 8 Chakram

- Qilin Blade Grade 8 Podao
- Green Dragon Grade 8 Crescent Blade
- Serpent of Yan Grade 8 Lance
- Peerless Halberd Grade 8 Halberd

Do you need to beat the campaign before you can start unlocking these? I've only just started chapter 3.

Yepp. For Ultimate Warrior dificulty, you need to beat the game. And you need a high level too. Level 72+ or they will hit you hard.

Yes. You need to beat the campaign for one of the three factions , then you will unlock « ultimate difficulty » which unlocks challenges . Completing these challenges will allow you to get grade 8 weapons , horses , consumables and battle arts . When in ultimate difficulty , you can check the reward for completing a challenge by going to the « story » panel at the inn then Select a battle and press square .

Those are the weapons companions use, not obtainable for Ziluan.

4. Lurking Luan - Sword - Clear the challenge (Zhang Bao's large force disbands within 15 minute) in The Final Battle Against The Yellow Turbans on Ultimate Warrior Difficulty.
5. Rampaging Luan - Halberd - Defeat Lu Bu in the Battle of Hulao Gate on Ultimate Warrior Difficulty.
6. Singing Luan - Wheels - Defeat Liu Biao in The Battle of Xiangyang on Ultimate Warrior Difficulty.
7. Soaring Lua - Podao - Defeat Li Dian and Yu Jin before they reach the base to stage the fire attack in the Battle of Bowangpo on Ultimate Warrior Difficulty.
8. Striking Luan - Gauntlets - Defeat Sun Ce Within 10 Minutes In The Battle Of Xiaopei on Ultimate Warrior Difficulty.
9. Thrashing Luan - Staff - Claim victory within 21 minutes in the Battle of Chibi on Ultimate Warrior Difficulty.
10. Whirling Luan - Lance - Defeat Zhang Fei and Zhao Yun within 11 minutes in the Battle of Changban on Ultimate Warrior Difficulty.
