No Character Customization?
Based on what I've seen and read, it appears you can't customize the player character.

Is that the case?

It's a real bummer if you can't.

just gonna set this here, cause id like to know as well.
well at least u can change the clothing, so if u had bought the early access u get extra clothing called "wander clothing" it make u look like the beggar but meh which I got funny feeling they r going do that to their next game which this is a small time problem.
based on the demo I think you are just "Wanderer" with a fixed male look
No, there is no character customization in any sense of the traditional means. Voice, gender, appearance and the like are not on the table. You can choose weapons you unlock/find, you can choose between clothing (that doesn't appear in cutscenes), and that's it. Only other bit of clothes I have after a while is the Pre-order clothes, so take that as you will with how little you find new clothing.

he wanted to be male or a female that I am guessing for he was hoping he get to customize like u do in empire 9 version choosing different outfits and clothing sets which don't blame him for nitpicking about it.
Eh, maybe it'll come out in a DLC or Plus Mode. The older DW games had custom officers and bodyguards... Wishful thinking.

The expansions had it, it was never a mainstay feature in the base games.

4 Definitely had it

I've been playing since 3.

Yeah, 4 had CaC's.
It still wasn't a mainstay feature of the main games. CaC's mostly came with XL Expansions or Empires companion games.

It's hard pass from me if it doesn't have Character Creation. Just removed it from my Wish List. Sucks, cause I was REALLY wanting to get back into DW again. Ah well. It's to be expected with today's AAA companies taking every shortcut they can...

in my personal opinion, you won't miss much. just more of the same with fancy weapons.
i am rather glad they did not add a crap ton of useless skins as dlc like they have done in past warriors games.

Hold your horses as DLC isn't even released yet. Huge chance they will make the dumb recolor outfits available as DLC, which is as useless as a DLC will ever get

At least you haven't the obligation to buy it.
