Which Dynasty Warriors Game to get

Last one i played was when i was 14 - i dont know which part it was (maybe playstation 2)

Heard this one isnt really that great except the graphics (demo was ok play wise)

So which dynasty warriors game on steam can u recommend the most? Would like one where u can unlock the characters and stuff

if you want to play DW games like the old ones, you'll have to have a ps4/5 to play the best ones as KT didnt really have a good pc port for any of them. DW7 + extreme legends on the ps3 and DW8 Complete edition for the ps4/5 are the best Dynasty Warriors games for that brand. Samurai warriors 4 and 5 have split opinions but are good. Warriors Orochi 3 ultimate is the best of that series. Then the collab games are all varied except Hyrule warriors on the switch is probably the most meaty of the games as it has so much content you'd probably never 100% it.

This one right here. There's a shocking amount of misinformation surrounding the game for some reason. I can't buy it just yet, but I'm watching people play it, and it's clearly a good game.

Either emulate dynasty warriors 4 or 5, or just get this. This game is pretty good btw and has the best reviews the series has ever gotten so I'm not sure where you got the impression that it's not good or only graphics or something. If you don't like the combat in the demo here you are really gonna hate the combat in the previous games. If you must pick something on steam, warriors orochi 3 is your best bet.

4 and 7 are the best for me, but this one, I feel like a reboot of the saga and it's not a bad game, better than 9 for sure.

Origins. I don’t know about other countries, but most DW series players in China speak very highly of Origins.

This one has, mostly, the best combat and battles of the series. If characters are your priority though then Orochi 3 or 4 are the place to be. In that particular case I’d say 3 is better than 4 due to the endgame potential and slightly less exploitable combat options.

Warriors Orochi 3 and 4. Dynasty Warriors 8 XL:Compete/Empires,Samurai Warriors 4 DX.
Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires is an honorable mention,

that list alone should keep you busy for a while.

and if you got a Switch, consider Fire Emblem Warriors, Age Of Calamity and Hyrule Warriors :P

I tried to pick up one of the older ones recently and found it unbearable. If you're longing for some DW nostalgia, this is the one you want to go for. It's modernized, has a more satisfying game play loop and the dialogue isn't godawful.

8 Empires is the best there is a mod as well for it to make it harder the combat.
