Weapon Tier List (with biased opinion)
Level 101

Rampaging Luan is the best.
It somehow has more range than Chakram despite being a melee weapon. Also, it deal so much damage to enemy Health and Fortitude in a single combo. Not to mention the Battle Arts use less Bravery compared to other weapons. The only downside is being forced to ride a horse every time.

The rest of the weapons are there only to grind levels, that's all.

Level 20

Chakram > Podao > Knuckles > Sword > Spear

Podao
Plays like the greatsword in Monster Hunter. Stagger into true charge slash deals insane damage. But the drawback is that you only do this strat during 1v1.

Chakram and Knuckles feel better to play the higher rank we get. Meanwhile, Sword falls behind because Podao is just better for aggressive plays.

Level 15

Chakram > Sword > Knuckles > Spear

1. Chakram
Very agile with long range. It's fun dancing around while throwing red chakrams to the whole area.

2. Sword
Easy to use. The starting brave art can dish a lot of damage.

3. Knuckles
Hard to use, but can fill musou/rage gauge real fast. Actually the best weapon if you know how to use it well.

4. Spear
Recommended if you want to learn the timing to parry. But other than that, I'm not sure what to expect from this weapon.

Feedback highly appreciated!

Spear comes with the training wheels parry which hamstrings it for anyone with a pulse, but get that out and its a fantastic juggling weapon. Great at everything whereas sword is just "good" at everything.

I really like wheels too; high skill cap and you can feel when you get it right.

Sword, agreed 100%. Just an all around safe option.

Knuckles I actually think it's a little weaker than chakrams, even considering its heaviest attacks are slow unless you have the buff. That said, both knuckles and wheels annihilate and if you git gud at either you're pretty set.
Spear with range boost gem wrecks entire area codes with the 6 hit combo

Pretty hooked on using the knuckles so far. I agree on the spear though. Anytime I use it, it just makes me want to use another weapon. Haven't found the appeal of it yet.

Now I'm tempted to use range boost with chakram. I wonder if it will make the chakram's hitbox bigger.

Is juggling viable in Origins? I remember it stopped being useful when the devs taught the AI aerial recovery.

Ohhhh buddy, just wait until you get further on. The sword is easily the best fortitude breaker for most of the game up until chapter 3, and after that the final weapon you unlock is above and beyond the best weapon period. Insane AOE, insane damage to officers, insane everything. I won't spoil it but for a hint you've seen a certain someone with it already.

Spear has some really broken combo, once you either parry or wait for officer to finish attacking, just use block + heavy attack button. It always guarantee to knock officer to the air for heavy attack combo.

Spear has some really great arts, especially the Rising Dragon Vortex that will take enemy into the air, if the weapon has airdash skill attached you can extend airtime even more.

Rampaging Luan isnt that great. its easy to use but it cannot burst down enemy in a short window.
That ultimate skill will get your character on a ride, that is time wasting.

Twin Pikes, Crescent Blade, Gauntlets are able to burst damage with 5 ultimate in chain.
use your soldiers Shout enemy give a Def debuff, use a +60% ATK item. then spam ultimate.
None of the enemy can survive with this combo even in Chi Bi challenge.

and All R8 weapon are Trash, it just a short path to obtain 624 ATK weapon.
The Best weapon is R7 +99, its 623 ATK, but able to customize passive

True, but that's only if we need to rush boss. We can spam ultimate + assault (although we need to jump off the horse in between) with Rampaging Luan during the entire 120s stamina potion buff. But I guess I can save up rage mode in the meantime and use your strat specifically for the final boss.

R7+99 needs too much of a grind. I only managed to gather like 10 weapons at most before deciding to sell them altogether. It doesn't help that buying a single R7 costs 70k (or worse, 400k for the final weapon).

Buildi the r7 weapon correct, player can use ultimate skill within 10 sec.
around 5 ultimate skill, it will fill up the rage bar.

Crescent Blade, Gauntlets ultimate had 2 hit counts, player can use low cost skill to cancel the stagger and let the enemy get 3 hits, the damage is around 5000. it is far far beyond any Rampaging Luan skill

Twin Pikes ultimate can do around 3000 damage, its still not good as Crescent Blade, Gauntlets. but it is still better than Rampaging Luan

I see, in other words the game rewards players for grinding and customizing R7.

just curious, what do you think the best build is on an r7 weapon? i assume "get more bravery" and "damage to officers" is a given?

My Gauntlets is
+10% Damage to Officer
+10% Skill Damage
+10% ATK -5% DEF
Dodge +30% ATK
Dodge restore the MP things
Extra the invinc frames when dodge

Enemy attack phase(super-armor) just proceed 2 dodge to restore MP
after the attack officers will cancel their super-armor, a few punch then use the grabbing ultimate and use a 1 mp cost skill cancel the grabbing animation when his head hit the ground.
Officer will take the Kick 400 dmg, then grab dmg 2600 and get the AE explosive 2600 dmg
and lost all the fortified able to use Finisher move around 2500 dmg
Crescent Blade can use this trick as well
