Is this game woke?

I am looking for a real game with strong male characters.

Yes. This game is extremely woke, your MC is an effeminate soy-boy who looks liked he can barely lift up a knife let alone a sword. yet he can take down 100-1000 men 10Xs more masculine than him with ease, and don't get me started on the women in this game who can do the same thing. they even gloat about it by saying things like: "enemy officer defeated" and they have the audacity to say "I am the greatest warrior of the Three Kingdom" LIKE NO THE ♥♥♥♥ YOU'RE NOT, YOU SHOULD BE IN THE KITCHEN MAKING ME THE GREATEST SANDWICH OF THREE KINGDOM!!!

my guess is they used him for inclusion points game companies want to be seen like they give a damn about things other then profit when they don't really

Hiring black people to be VAs is "disrespectful to chinese culture" (????) but somehow hiring white people is not? A reminder that were mostly "white people" countries that invaded and ♥♥♥♥♥♥ China for over a century (they even call it the "100 years of humiliation")

And sure, Guan Yu is the ONLY bad VA in the ENTIRE CAST, the rest of the cast is incredibly wonderful, only Guan Yu is bad. Guo Jia is particularly incredible pausing every two words.

TBH i thought the Guan Yu english dub VA was really good in this game,
he sounded exactly like he did in previous DW games. i didn't notice anything different.

Most people think the game was supposed to have another character, a woman, and that the dialogs where mens hit on you were for her. But since they removed her without removing the dialogs, all is left is men hitting on another man.

The Three Kingdoms Characters will flirt pretty hilariously aggressively with the player character in the companionship filler dialogue moments. Most of them are guys as is the player character.

If that's too much, fair enough, but as someone who doesn't like games that are made by people who are activists instead of developers, this is free from that disingenuous and condescending taint.
