Warnings about Pre-load for tomorrow's standard release.

Make sure you have TWICE the space available on the drive that the game says it needs. For DWO this means you need 100 GB free prior to downloading the pre-load or 50 GB free after downloading the pre-load.

Why? Because the pre-load is an encrypted file. When the game unlocks tomorrow, Steam will start extracting and decrypting files from that encrypted file. This process does not make the encrypted file smaller. By the end of the process you effectively have two full copies of the game (One encrypted, one decrypted) before Steam starts to delete the pre-load files.

If you have a fast enough internet connection, pre-load isn't even worth doing. High internet speeds can actually download the game faster than a lot of processors can decrypt the pre-load files. Preload is mostly for people on very slow internet connections who take hours on end to download the game.
