Question before buying
Does the camera control work the same way like all the previous titles? Because i have gotten the habit to use keyboard only whenever i play warriors type game (back when dynasty warriors 4 hyper), i like how the camera would just trace our path and slowly turn while we run forward + left/right, and whenever i need to make a sudden turn, i just turn and then press block button and the camera would center behind me, that's all i need.

If it still works the same way in this game, then im buying.

With the default camera settings on, the camera will still follow you as you move around, trying to auto-center. The block button will center the camera also. Different from the earliest entries, there is an auto-lock, so if an officer attacks you or you attack them, you'll auto-lock.

Several of these settings can be adjusted. Some of the camera events that take control away cannot be adjusted at the time of this post. e.g., your ally assisting you, enemy or allies using Grand Tactics / Strategies (?), enemies entering Rage, etc.

But also specific to keyboard only controls, you will need to configure your controls after you start the game (can't configure them from the title screen). The attack buttons default to the mouse now. Battle Arts/Tactics also default to the mouse. Your portable items are assigned to 1...4, with eating meat buns you carry with you set to 1.

To also reiterate, you cannot change the controls from the title screen, since this has frustrated a number of players that did not go into the game to find out the control configuration was in there.

Thanks, sounds like the good old dynasty warrior control that im familiar with, except the auto-lock, i would have prefered manually deciding if i want to lock onto an enemy officer.

I apologize for the confusion.

You can toggle off the auto lock-on. That is one of the settings that can be adjusted.

The camera part that can't be adjusted at this time were the ally assists, Grand Tactics, and enemy Rage mode cameras.
All good, already bought, downloading right now, just need to hope that my spec can afford to run it smoothly, dynasty warriors usually arent that demanding when it comes to that, extreme legend 8 was running really well despite my previous old pc would occasionally shut itself off from overheating XD
