Fate Alter on Ultimate Warrior
So, the Fate Alter missions are either completely impossible to do on UW (e.g. Guo Jia for Wei as AFAIK Cao Cao will always get killed if you rush west), practically impossible (i.e. could only be done with unreasonable amount of grinding weapon mats, e.g. Sun Jian mission) or are possible but require some ridiculous luck/skill without gringing (e.g. Sun Ce for WU). Great ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ design, must say.

If you really want to alter fate, don't do it on Ultimate Warrior.

And if you do alter fates on Ultimate Warrior without a trainer/cheat/mod, you will be playing at speed runner competition levels.
Did them all on UW, its not that difficult. Just sometimes requires precise timing or retrys.

Ok, I'll bite, how did you complete Guo Jia's one without Cao Cao getting killed?

I did Wu's second one on UW. You can imagine my face when I realized how ♥♥♥♥ their hypothetical was after all the pain of that boss fight with half a dozen of officers, constant ice spells and broken camera because smbd at Koei thought that having this fight in a small cave would be a great idea (oh, did I mention the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ timer?).

Wu's alter fate story was very, very disappointing.

As for Wei, would say to order march as soon you get access the west base / last base. It'll stall Cao Cao's death long enough for you to get back to him.

And then immediately after slaying Bailuan, rushing back.

In video format roughly: https://youtu.be/y0sjSdc1nKc

While it's possible to do this with Yang Xi and his lackey showing up if the base is cleared before they show up, if they're knocked away super hard, or if they're deleted (and without crescent blade or gauntlet on this difficulty, I tried to avoid that here.)

Now, the first Wu alter fate - unless there is some other gimmick to this, on Ultimate Warrior, I would've needed to shave 15 seconds off to alter the fate / e.g., I watch Huang Gai run by and reach the destination first.

I needed more raw numbers for the UW ones. Max level and needed consumables for them. Avoided double damage exploit but it was still pretty tight on the Wu ones even with the consumables. Who did Wu's first without consumables or the double damage glitch/exploit/tech? Any videos?

On Ultimate, I'd still suggest consumables, but consumables that can be replenished.

Mhm, I settled on the simple Bravery 120 and attack 60 (or is it 40?)% with an interchangable third (usually alacrity for faster horse traversal - sometimes the tactics so the boys could courage down the target once or twice) and standard meat buns in slot one.

Thank you. Order to march might be just what I have been missing. Still can't believe that you need this one specific fringe tactic (I've forgotten it even existed in the game as its only purpose to buy you some time) in order to clear the stage.

I screwed up in the video and sent it out so late, it didn't do anything BUT had I sent it out 30 seconds earlier, it could have bought me another minute.

I've done Wei(both Save Dian wei and Gua Jia) and Shu(kill Cao Cao) Fate altered on UW just fine. (not on Wu, I hate fighting Zhang Jiao)
I think it's skill issue on your side. Just use consumable that recovery bravery then you should be able to kill enemy officers under 5 second.

Which missionplease remind me

Usually the answer is to finish the mission as soon as you can,
if you need to keep X alive, make sure nobody is targeting them,
and then ignore everything else and just go for the mission finishes, kill certain officer, or get X bases whatever that is.

Ah now I remember what you are talking about? Its the mission with Biluan in the end, the trick is to rush all the bases needed on the left side and then rush to secure cao cao.

But generally speaking you dont need to do Fate Altered on UW mode, if it is too hard for you just do it on historic.

Managed to do it with a sword without any consumables. Order to march kept Cao Cao alive. Thanks again.

I am not gonna go into another rant on consumables as I've had just about enough ♥♥♥♥ discussions with people defending Fromsoftware's latest boss design decisions by telling you that boss x is totally fine if you use item x on it. I'll just say that if you have to rely on consumables to complete the challenge and think that's good game design it might be a skill issue on your part and not mine.
