"THIS ISN'T DYNASTY WARRIORS, DOOT DOOT DOOT!!"...play Cao Cao's last battle, then come back
Anyone who complains about such an epic fight is just...you're just...I don't know what you are, but do better.

A seemingly endless sea of soldiers. Countless officers all souped up. Reinforcements like crazy. Then Sun Quan trying to cut you off. Then facing down Guan Yu.

Lu Bu? Pah, handed him his lunch.

But the Liu Bei army was glorious fun. Even more so than fighting Zhang Jiao.

(disclaimer...having the halberd certainly helps as does Ice Luan.)

I do like that both versions of Chibi felt they way they should. One starts off well and then goes to hell (Cao Cao) and the other ones are reversed. Trying to save cao cao from the insane amount of officers was hilarious, nearly impossible and kinda frustrating. But in the end I can't say I didn't enjoy it lmao I was at the edge of my seat. Having to choose to hold officers back instead of just killing them because it would be impossible to kill most of them was an interesting sort of twist that doesn't happen often in this game.

The massive downside of playing Huarong Path from Cao Cao side first will make other version feel lackluster and incomplete unfortunate.

I was pretty sure when they design this stage they have Cao Cao side in mind as it's only come in full picture and every mechanic being usage in this exact moment if you play from this side.

The "blew their load" observation you shared is 100% appropriate. That last battlefield...there's simply nothing else like it on any other path, frankly.

Since Wei was the last one standing in actual history, they probably decided to just go all-in on the Wei scenario. The battles there felt more fulfilling than the rest.

I got the true ending for Wei the first time and it felt completely shallow compared to "bad ending" Was a really fun fight if not a tad stressful.
This post is dedicated to the people who keep saying "this isn't Dynasty Warrriors, doot doot doot!". They haven't done this battle. Period.
