ultimate warrior is crazy
in level 51 and my first mission is recommended lvl 74 lol, i think i spent 40 minutes to complete the mission, am i supposed to start from chapter 1 again if i want to do this difficulty=

It isn't that bad. I had to stop my Hulao Gate mission because I didn't have the time to grind out Lu Bu. It was my first Ultimate Warrior mission.

Probably should level up then try to score a rank 8 weapon, makes doing ultimate alot easier especially the challenges.

the challenges are no problem so far only keeping my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ commander alive, it takes so long to kill someone that main camp gets like 6 high level dudes in it and i cant kill them before my commander dies *sigh*

For this, you might restart another faction/route from the start of Chapter 3 on one of the Historian / Wayfarer / Hero difficulties.

Then as you get your grade 6 weapon reforged to a higher value or a grade 7 weapon and your Rank up, then you might start a playthrough on Ultimate Warrior.

A subset of us jumped straight into Ultimate Warrior and tried to skip a gradual progression. Some succeeded. Others suffered. But as your stats, weapons, and more powerful Battle Arts come in - Ultimate Warrior becomes manageable, BUT completing the Challenges or some alternate routes is a very different story. Some easier than others.

In my case I just went through it and started rampaging as soon as I got my first Luan.

And I rampaged even more after i used that Luan to get the Rampaging Luan.

The tutorial mission is rank 70 on Ultimate but you can't die during it. Some missions are easier than others, right now I'm trying to get rank 60 to unlock the last skill tree because I think that'll help a lot. But on that note skill point bank caps at 999.

It is impressive that you beat 1st playthough at lvl 51. My 1st run, I do all mission and beat Wei route got lvl 63 at the end.
To make UW difficulty easier, you will need "Grade 8 (Luan)" weapon. It got base 624 Atk. more than +99 Grade 7 weapon got 623 Atk.

You can easily access to "Grade 8 (Luan)" weapon depend on which route you complete 1st.
- "Wei" can get Lance and it easiest because you can rush duel 2 bosses (In duel, stats/lvl matter little)
- "Shu-Han" can get Podao, If you are low lvl, just choose Lubu as companion and use item to increase musou or switch companion items
- "Wu" no easy weapon to access so just get either spear or gauntlet or twin pike from Chapter 3 before split route.

Once you got 1 Grade 8 weapon then you can go get grade 8 Halberd from killing Lubu in Hualao gate (Easy because you got Trio-Bros helping).

The rest of game will be easy when you get Lubu weapon.

The sword was my first one at level 55. It wasn't too bad cuz the level has your allies be somewhat competent.
