I've used Chinese translation and it points to 'fortitude' or the shield icons on the enemy officers.
EXAMPLES:
Sword - The R-Bumper + Strong Attack moves & the Follow-up to Strong Attacks.
Spear - The triple Strong Attack combo that ends in a series of Thrusts.
Gauntlets - All of the the Stance: Light & Heavy attacks
Wheels - The successful extra Strong Attacks when catching the Wheels right as they return.
Podao - Fully charged Strong Attacks.
Staff - Held Strong Attacks that spin the staff repeatedly.
Twin Pikes - The series of Strong Attacks & the final Strong Attack with timely button press.
Lance - Fully charged Strong Attacks from Enduring Damage.
Crescent Blade - Fully charged Strong Attacks from attacking opponents.
ETC. ETC.
