How to escape with cao cao from lu bu??!!

Does anyone know how to escape with cao cao from lu bu? i get completly demolished in this mission. it breaks me so much im close to quitting and starting hating on this game... until now it was flawless but i cant beat that mission because of the short time lu bu takes to closing up he always gets me in the fional room because my companion ki is slow and useless as ***

2 ways to handle it.

-you can face & beat lu bu (your level need to be good enough at this point),
do it fast, once his health is at 20%, he'll run away.
this will weakens all the generals on the map.

-beat the generals standing in cao cao way and go straight to the prison section in the south east to free someone, they'll convert some of the generals on the map to your side.

"DO NOT APPROACH LU BU" strategy.

Turn around. Run. Kick two guys in front of you. Pivot left. Break through two shield walls. Kick all officers. Continue to the treasury. Kick the guard. Use magic eyes. Flee. Free the prisoners. Break through the big building. Done.

"APPROACH LU BU" strategy:

Bring Podao. Bring the Art that ignites the ground. LMAOROFLSTOMP Lu Bu.

he always catches up in the final room no matter what. You have to survive long enough until backup arrives. My advice is to just clear the way to the exit (even though cao won't take it until backup arrives) then keep your distance until it's time.

Just beat him. You gonna have to fight him several times anyway, might as well learn the moveset now. Beating him debuffs all the other generals and lets you leisurely stroll through the level killing everything. Just make sure during the fight when cao cao gets low fighting those other two generals you heal him, kill the 2 generals, then go back to fighting Lu Bu.

I didn't have any problems in my first try (in the others I just fight Lu Bu and get rid of this annoyance), but you have to find the right path so Lu Bu won't catch up and kill the officers quickly.

I only lost once because Cao Cao's AI bugged and he ran at a completely opposite way instead of entering the room with the escape point on it and got killed by Lu Bu. But then restarted the battle and had he stay close to me and everything went smoothly.

I just tried to beat him til i did. Took me 4 tries to learn his moveset and it helped a lot for later missions beating him,

On Hero, his attacks will either oneshot or take like 99% of your health. You need to know his moveset and where to dodge his attacks (the bow multishot in particular is annoying).

Or lower difficulty to historian.

While this thread is a few hours old, would say to:
1. Defeat the two generals blocking Cao Cao at the south.
2. Head west through the secret wall (use the Eyes to see it) to hear the conversation about the disgruntled guards and defeat that officer, BUT head east out the door. Edit: You don't need to head west.
3. Head east to the treasure room and take out Dong Min or whomever is in there, then use the secret passage (Eyes again) to head south to the prison. (There should be two secret passages, use the one that's more to the east).
4. There should be at least one more officer on the way to the prison. Free the prisoners, then head west to escape.
5. Musou and Assaults can take care of the shield guys sooner, otherwise - try to attack or knock them back as much as you can to get an Assault in.
