I agree. Dynasty Warriors 9 is the worst DW ever made.
This IS worse than DW9 by absolute miles.
One stupid character to use, unbalanced slow and disjointed gameplay, graphics that look like a PS2 era game, bad voice acting and being completely unpolished. Yes this is worse than 9.
This game is going to divide the base, but it will consolidate what makes these games great. And open the way for even greater games to come.
I got it on PS5, and literally NOTHING great about this is a perfect blueprint on how to completely ruin a game series. Everything about origins reek of cheaply made and being poorly thought out and alienating the long term REAL fans.
This game really is able to give you the feeling of destroying a battlefield of so many soldiers. There are so many that can be present at one time. It feels overwhelming in a good way. The core combat is the best of the series imo, and I have been a fan forever, even on switch I have some musou games.
I do miss when we had so many playable characters and such. The story so far is mixed, with moments I feel just slows the pacing of the game. Still, it's a great game.
Absolute cope. You see what you want to see. You correctly identify that this game will divide the player base but somehow came to the conclusion that an already niche, relatively unliked game outside of its fanbase is going to thrive by dividing its already small player base that oh yeah is all scorned by the disaster that was DW9 and hasnt seen a good game in a very long time. Please explain to me the logic that is alienating a large chunk of your already small very niche fanbase that doesnt attract a lot of new players very often and how that strategy is going to benefit the series. Its not fresh to remove core components of this franchise. Its literally lesser than, calling it fresh is polishing a turd. But I wont argue with you guys because I know Im right. This game will be dead in 3-4 weeks, never talked about again or brought up rotting in the libraries of a small group of people that swore this was the next best thing.
