Low frame rate - 5950X + RTX 4090
Just tried out the first chapter and starting area is around 59 to 80 fps which is ok, but once I get to the guard tower where it’s the first time you have a bunch of soldiers on screen - fps drops to 40 something and stays there.

Settings are maxed out. Turning on DLSS to quality does nothing, but in theory, with this game, I shouldn’t need to be turning on DLSS.

Any thoughts / help would be much appreciated.

Ray tracing on too I assume? Does the game support HDR? Sounds like its not optimized very well.
There’s no ray tracing. Game does support HDR and I do have that turned on

Wow, I figured you had ray tracing on and thats why it was slow. For having the top dog GPU, your frame rate should be a lot better Id think.
I think I am maintaining 240 Hz

i9-13900K
RTX 4090
3440x1440

vsync off
anti aliasing off
HDR off

DLSS quality
Frame generation on

Everything else Max

I don't see ray tracing in the menus

The cutscenes drop to 120 Hz

The OP must be running it on 4k or higher maybe?

I have it set to 120 FPS, and it stays right at it. Using custom params to run a higher resolution for 5120x1440. Also have a 4090, but an intel 14900KS.
Yes, I’m running 4k - set FPS limit to 144hz

I have v-sync off too but didn’t turn on frame gen. Didn’t realize the game needed it with a 4090

I got a locked 60 at native 4k on a lowly 3080 in the demo. Unlocked with XeSS quality was like 90fps, so unless the full game is drastically different in performance I don't see why his fps is so low.

Wow, yeah. You got pretty good with yours. Im running a 3080ti now. I wont be buying the game now, but maybe later.

It's surprising well optimised compared to DW9 and looks leagues better too. Going off demo performance tho, I got the normal peasant version so 17th is when I can play full game :lunar2019piginablanket:

My answer: Series 90 are not for gaming
Next time buy another card because they are not for gaming Slash :)

I’ll play around with my BIOS - maybe REBar is turned off or something.

I’ll also turn on Frame gen - that will at least make it playable for now.

I’ve always had a problem with my MOBO I think. In the past, turning on Precision Boost Overclock would make my machine hang and wouldn’t boot to Windows.

Still, I don’t have any issues with games like Cyberpunk, COD, Indiana Jones etc. it runs within the realm of acceptable limits in line with YouTubers who run a similar setup.
Thats weird I am getting 100+ FPS on my Laptop 4090 DLAA, Frame Gen on and HDR.

Interesting. I will turn on Frame Gen then. Should definitely make it playable then.

My settings are on default and I have a solid 60 with zero drops (though default caps the frame rate at 60).

Granted I have a better cpu, but the same gpu.
