Will This Game Have Co-op Like Previous Titles?
I used to love playing other games from this series in the past with my friend in split-screen co-op on my TV. I think the co-op mode in those games was a lot of fun, but it seems this game might not have co-op. Is that true?

If it had Co-Op it would say it on the page. It doesn't, so I am guessing it never will.
Co-op is the best, I don't see it on their store page so I'm assuming no

Hard to do/balance. Looks like they fully focused on the single-player experience to restart the series.

Co-op was such a big part of the previous games. I always played them in split-screen co-op on my big TV, and it was so much fun! Without it, it feels like 60% of the fun is missing from this game. Why would they leave it out?

This seems to be more of a spinoff with more in depth mechanics in some areas, all built around the main character, instead of a Dynasty Warriors X.

Yup, a bunch of the mechanics are built around the presumption of a single-player such as the sheer amount of pausing that's possible with Battlefield Assistance toggled on (it'd be very disruptive for the other player unless forced off in co-op), or the slow-mo (not quite pause) during Eyes of the Sacred Bird, the extent of the overworld RPG elements...

As a reminder, the lauded DW7 also had a single-player-only Story Mode, while co-op was only available in Conquest Mode which existed instead of traditional Free Mode. Additionally, due to Story Mode's fixed roster, a bunch of characters -- including all of the Other characters -- were only playable in Conquest Mode.
There cannot be any coop since the only fully playable character in the game is the protagonist guy. The other generals, you can only use them for 1 minute after filling a special gauge of sorts during gameplay, similar to Fate Samurai.

I get that making every character playable in co-op might take extra effort, but it’s definitely possible if they wanted to invest in it. It feels like they’ve decided most people play this game for the single-player experience, so they don’t want to spend the money to include co-op. For me, co-op was always the most fun part of these games, and it’s a shame to see it left out.

So not only is there no co-op, but only one character to play? Wow they really don't know what they are doing with this series.
