I'm with you on this one, I have played every musou game from DW3, including every spinoff, and I'm sure we will be back with the normal characters in the next game, but yeah, having 50+ or 100+ characters, usually with dozens of cloned movesets, is a waste of resources and time when usually they are just there to say "we have 100+ officers" but zero substance between them.
Give me fewer (or even one like this game) but different weapons and different ways to play depending on the weapon. I LOVE musou games but take as an example, Sengoku Basara, which sadly the last game released in the west was 3 for ps3, fewer characters than any musou game but each one TOTALLY different feeling.
And guys, remember this isn't called Dynasty Warriors 10 or Dynasty Warriors X.
