i take any big site's reviews with a grain of salt. i'm glad it's getting good scores, but I would rather just find out for myself if it's good. steam's refund policy is your friend in these situations. play for hour or two and if you don't like it just refund.

Well yeah, it's almost like a categorically untrustworthy site's scores shouldn't be trusted. It doesn't matter what IGN rates anything as any more, that site needs to die and the clowns working for it need to be driven out of the gaming industry. Maybe they could go into reporting on politics, I think the ethics there are more their speed.

IGN has basically burnt any credibility it has in general. It doesn't matter what they rate a game. Not a thing they write is credible or even worth reading.

Game magazines used to be the only way people can know what game is good and what to look forward to. But now we can watch the gameplay on youtube, listen to our favorite streamer's opinion, or even play the demo ourselves instead of having to rely on game journalists... especially with all the bad reputation they've gained in the recent years.

IGN scores mean nothing because of the revolving door when it comes to their writing staff and therefore inconsistency with review scores. Who is the reviewer? What is their background in the industry? How many reviews have they written?

Just okay the demo and see if you like what the game is offering and maybe look at some playthroughs.

i dont know about trusting players here either there have been a few stuff i bought and was disappointed with that people on here said is amazing, and found some pretty good games that people on here said were trash and should not buy. so pretty much now i just rely solely on silent gameplay vids (videos that just show purely game-play) or if its a game that i have an interest in. thus far iv had more success in getting games that iv actually enjoyed more than getting a game based on other's review of them.
