DW Origins it's it's own thing, where you control as 1 character, story driven apparently,
I don't mind the New guy but I don't get why we can't play as the others?
---
Could of least have the option to play as em in Side Missions (Free mode type fights),
Samurai Warriors Chronicles series handle it better in my opinion.
1 minute?
Yup.
In the demo, when the ally's Musou meter accumulates to full, you can Switch Characters and play as them for about 1 minute (or less if you use too many abilities or end their Musou early).
For some reason, the Switch Character Musou has a very wide area of effect. Depending on enemy density when it goes off, the companion may be the one receiving the 1000 KOs message.
The game producer has mentioned the possibility of lengthening the controllable time for the Companion in a post-launch update, however otherwise I imagine that the Companions are working as intended.
Oh god, the same person that worked on Samurai Remnant worked on Origins? That would explain so much now...wow they are really hammering the nails into the coffin now.
That, and other Origins demo players are seeing traces of aspects from the licensed-IP spinoffs ('collaboration games' according to KT), with the producer of Origins having previously done the Dragon Quest Heroes duology...
That said, this (the producer of Origins) is also the guy who on X seemed to have been more excited by DW7 than by DW8... and DW7 was also a game with moveset clones, a single-player-only, fixed-character Story Mode with swappable weapons, and no traditional Free Mode.
* The producer of DW7, DW8, and DW9 is now the producer for DW-as-a-whole.
I would say Berserk is probably among those that use a handful as you only play as Guts in the story mode, but can use few of characters in free mode (after unlocking them) within those same battles and the tower, none of them get their own branch of the story.
