Can't say if you'll like it. There is a demo to try out the core parts of the gameplay, albeit - it's about 11+ story missions in so you won't get as much practice or tutorials compared to the full game.
The difficulty varies depending on how quickly you grasp the combat mechanics and the tactical action. If you start to lack in these areas, you'll face a common complaint of "babysitting allies" "useless allies" or "commander dying". There is a wide skill gap in this game. e.g., between the slowest players and the fastest players, the fastest players defeating an officer 1200% faster than the slowest ones - and a lot of room in between.
For 100% achievements, that can be on the harder side as you'll need skill, strategy, and thoroughness to complete all of it legitimately. And thankfully for achievement hunters, the other hardest things in the game aren't part of the achievements.
