Why don't people use tactics?
Looking at the achievements only 10% of people have got the achievement for trying 10 tactics. More people have got the achievement for bringing peace to every region.

Just wondering why? To me they are super useful. The rock throw can one hit KO multiple low courage generals at once. The basic arrow attack recharges quickly and will effectively double your damage to an officer for a while when you do a dramatic success which is often easy to achieve. same goes for the cavalry charge and others. Many of them can be saved to break an officers fortitude while they are raging for those quick large force missions.

on top of that you've got a few that can turn your body guard into a 1 courage officer to hold a position or do the babysitting job for you.

Just wondering why people don't use them?

I always forget about them because they take ages to charge aside from the basic ones (they don't even start charged wth). And if it ain't gonna be a dramatic success I don't find it that useful. The command tactics are pretty cool though but I like just having peons follow me for aesthetics

Chariot Charge and Catapult are HILARIOUS. Some soldier has these tools in their back pocket.
It's use 10 DIFFERENT tactics. I think a lot of people get the arrows and charges and just don't try the other tactics. The only reason why I got that achievement is because I made a conscious effort to use boring tactics like inspire and defend.

I'm too lazy to use other Tactics, charge and arrow and fire arrow is what I used.

Takes forever to fill up.

I had to use an equipment to speed up the timer.
I mostly stick with the same tactics: mounted charge, encirclement and the one that decreases courage of officers around you

I have the achievement, but only because I consciously used other useless tactics to get the achievement like defend or protect
I also stick to the same few but that's after experimenting with them. My most used one is order to march because being able to stop the enemy attacking through one side of the map while I attack the other is invaluable. It surprises me people complain so much about babysitting but then don't use the ability to have somebody else babysit for you.

its just to find the tactics you like, surely you have to try them first which would give you the achievement

Their captain takes out large chunks of the enemy army by themselves. They gotta live up to that example somehow.

I pretty much only use fire arrows and cavalry charge. Then switch between march order, guard order or intimidate as I see fit. The others are either too weak or take forever to charge.

There are 2 useful and fast-charging officer-specific tactics that help take down a tough enemy, Ceaseless Fury (180 s) and Encirclement (210 s). Ceaseless Fury is REALLY strong, as every time the soldiers do their attack, the enemy will get staggered, even if they were charging red or orange. After that, it's a free combo.

Catapult has a huge AOE and can kill minor officers instantly, as well as drain almost all fortitude. Chariot Charge is similar, but weaker and has a lot of restrictions on where it can be deployed (the land has to be level enough).
Personally my officer damaging tactic os rock throw. Can be used multiple times in a battle and does good damage. Good balance.

I think i didn't like encirclement as it caused my view of the enemy general to get obscured. But I've heard it's good from multiple people so maybe I'll have to give it another chance
Battle Roar is very important, probably used twice (rarely thrice...) in a mission, but very useful in ultimate warrior if you want to cancel dangerous move
