Co-op PLEASE

I really hope this isn't just going to be a single player game. It would be a lot of fun to see some more CO OP games - DWO could be a lot of fun with friends!!

Hopefully, they’ll announce a co-op patch like DW9, but so far, the only thing the devs have confirmed is that there will be a free mode if the game sells well.

Source on that claim? As far as I've seen the producer previously confirmed no other modes, and that some people's wishlist stuff is more likely to be in a sequel.

I saw this info in an interview with the devs by a Chinese media outlet. But it really depends on the players, if ppl keep asking for or pushing for a free mode, it might happen.

In the second link, they mentioned a 'Companion Officer' system where you can briefly switch to other officers during battles. The devs are thinking about adding a mode later where you can control them for longer.

As it so happens, base DW7 also didn't have Free Mode either... so unlike DW6 (which had a bunch of Free Mode-only characters, with the PS2 version reducing this number) the majority of DW7 characters were only playable in Conquest Mode, due to DW7's Story Mode having preset characters for every stage.

no free mode was not there since the beginning since the first dynasty warriors was a fighting game like soulcaliber sorry crap spelling.
free mode did not show up till the 2nd game witch started the way dynasty warriors has been for decades
